Easy Indonesian Peanut sauce




Quick and easy Peanut Sauce

Peanut sauce is usually served with Indonesian satay, (skewered grilled meats or chicken). A popular side dish in Bali and the rest of Indonesia, it is often served with Thai food as well, as a great dipping sauce for spring rolls and salad rolls.  This recipe has creaminess from the coconut milk, balanced by the lime juice. You can also add red chili flakes for some extra zest. 




Ingredients


1/2 cup natural peanut butter - you can also use almond or cashew butter
1 tbsp lime juice
1/4 cup coconut milk
1/4 cup hot water
1 tbsp brown sugar
 1 tbsp light soy sauce

Whisk all ingredients until smooth, cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
